"Land for the Lord" Offering

The 1979 Annual Meeting of the NTA launched the "Land for the Lord" Fund in order to enable our churches to help struggling mission churches buy land or improved property (land with an existing building).

Often new churches face seemingly insurmountable obstacles as they try to assume the support of their pastor plus buy land and build at today's prices. Since this Fund was established, the NTA has been able to help several churches overcome these obstacles.

Some NTA member churches give regularly to the Fund as part of their missions programs, while others take special "Land for the Lord" offerings on one or more Sundays each year. "Land for the Lord" funds are held in an interest-bearing bank account by the NTA treasurer until given to a Mission church by vote of the messengers at the NTA Annual Meeting.
