Sample "Non-Political" Clause

What follows is a sample "non-political" clause. Churches that are considering joining the NTA need to have similar text enacted in their church constitution.

NON-POLITICAL ACTIVITIES: No substantial part of the activities of the Corporation shall be to carry on propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation and the Corporation shall not participate in, intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements), or campaign on the behalf of any candidate for public office.
