Profile of the NTA National Representative
 

The current national representative is Dr. Richard Paige. Dr. Paige is an experienced evangelist and Bible Conference speaker, having served in ministry since 1959. He has extensive pastoral experience, having served as an assistant pastor, youth pastor, or senior pastor for over 25 years in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Minnesota. He served as the Executive Secretary of the Minnesota Baptist Association from 1983 to 2001. He has held a variety of leadership roles in association functions, including serving as the president of the Minnesota Baptist Association, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Minnesota, and President of the Independent Baptist Churches for Biblical Evangelism (a local church missions agency). He also led in the founding of the Lake Region Christian School of Brainerd, MN.

Dr. Paige's responsibilities over the years also included editing the North Star Baptist Magazine of the Minnesota Baptist Association, leading tours to the Middle East (visiting Israel twelve times), managing the Baptist Bookstore of the M.B.A., oversight of the church planting ministry of the M.B.A., and editing the Northstar Baptist Sunday School materials.

Dr. Paige has preached in many Bible conferences, evangelistic meetings, missions’ conferences, and youth events. He has also taught a course in Pastoral Theology at the Valley Baptist Theological Seminary in Golden Valley, MN (now defunct), and done substitute teaching at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN, and Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minneapolis, MN. He was also active in the beginning of the New Testament Association of Independent Baptist Churches and has served as the National Representative of that association since 2001.

He has resided in Mesa, AZ since 2003, where he serves as the Seniors’/Visitation pastor at the East Mesa Baptist Church in addition to serving the NTAIBC. He and his wife Ruth were married in 1959. They have four children and twelve grandchildren. All four children love the Lord and the two daughters are married to Baptist pastors.
